
Fred Shuttlesworth
Fred Shuttlesworth was a Baptist minister and a leading figure in the Civil Rights Movement in the South. He collaborated closely with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., co-founding the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) and organizing direct-action protests in Birmingham, remaining steadfast despite enduring multiple attacks. Additionally, Shuttlesworth was an active community leader in Cincinnati. He passed away on October 5, 2011.
